Hydranation Chemical Reduction Lab Results

Hydranation’s advanced filtration technology has been independently lab-tested to verify its effectiveness in reducing a broad spectrum of contaminants found in Australian tap water — including fluoride, chlorine, microplastics, heavy metals, VOCs, PFAs and more.

The results confirm what we’re here to offer: a cleaner, safer, and smarter approach to hydration, sound in science, not speculation.

At the core of the system is one of the most sophisticated ceramic membranes available. Each filter features a natural ceramic shell made from diatomaceous earth, encasing a multi-stage internal core designed specifically for pressurised filtration — not gravity-fed systems.

This core combines two highly effective filtration media:
Activated charcoal, known for its broad chemical adsorption capabilities, and calcium Hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring mineral often used as a dietary supplement, with a high affinity for fluoride.

Fluoride, due to its small molecular size and low weight, is difficult to remove using standard filtration methods. Thanks to the pressurised system, engineered pore size of the ceramic membrane and the fast-reacting, high-absorption capacity of calcium hydroxyapatite, Hydranation filters are able to capture even this smallest of ions with remarkable efficiency.

The result is what functions like a microscopic drag net, if fluoride is being removed, heavier and more complex contaminants are caught up in the by-catch.

Why We Chose Calcium Hydroxyapatite Over Activated Alumina
Unlike activated alumina, a common but slower-acting defluoridation medium, calcium hydroxyapatite allows for faster contact time and more efficient filtration. It’s a naturally occurring compound, safe for human consumption, and it does not release any harmful substances into the treated water. Its higher absorption capacity means it captures more contaminants with greater ease, without the risk of secondary exposure.

Engineered for Confidence
Combined with our Imperial-sized filter design (2.75 inches / 7cm diameter) which delivers a higher flow rate, longer lifespan, and greater filtration surface area, Hydranation offers more than just clean water. It offers trust.

If our filter removes fluoride, the smallest and most elusive contaminant, you can be sure it’s also capturing the rest.
